The Mangled Puppies Newsletter never had a circulation of more than 100 readers. Issues were printed, put in manila envelopes, and handed out in the homerooms at Stuyvesant and Bronx Science. Very few people paid the $1.15 suggested donation, so the printing costs of $75 for each issue were never covered.
